What do you think about God and the Big Bang theory?

You are not alone. I'm a Protestant. I certainly see the big bang as the observation of ex nihilo creation. God spoke the universe into existence and it immediately inflated and filled what we call space. That is very much the same explanation given by non-theistic evolution. You are correct the minority of Christianity is narrow minded, crude and unkind.
